Reindeer sleighride
Take a traditional Sami sledding trip with the reindeer. Our experienced guides will take you on an unforgettable tour of spectacular natural surroundings near Alta. Thru the forrest and in to an open area, where there is good chance to experience northern lights. Experience the most beautiful dance in the sky and get to know the magic of the Northern Lights. During the daylight tour, maybe we observe the king of the forrest, the norwegian moose.
After the tour, you will be served bonfire coffee/tea with cake by the fire in the lavvo. The hosts will tell stories about Sami culture and history and end their tour with the performance of yoik.

About the tour
Reindeer play a central role in Sami culture and have been used to transport people for generations. On this tour you can enjoy the silence, in a sled behind a reindeer, and just listen to the reindeer's hooves crunching in the snow.
Our Sami guides will take you to a Lavvo, where you will hear about the Sami culture in cosy surroundings around the fire. You'll get a fascinating insight into the special semi-nomadic culture.
If the weather and light conditions are optimal, you may have the opportunity to experience the magical Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
